Roca / Closet Ball 2026
Closet Ball
Closet Ball is a drag competition, contests with the help of an assistant, transforms themselves into their drag persona. Closet Ball is a competition that is fun for all involved. This competition is meant for entertainment and grooming for new entertainers.
The rules are simple. Each contestant must introduce themselves (all gender identities welcomed) before the transformation can begin. The Closet Ball Coordinator will then start the clock to give each contestant only one hour with the help of one assistant, to transform into their alter ego. Once the clock has stopped, all contestants reintroduce themselves as their new persona, whether almost finished or finished. Contestants will then proceed to finish any touch ups after their presentation.
During the second part of the competition, contestants will perform any talent they would like, so long as it does not injure or hurt anyone. No excessive glitter, no fire, and no water may be used in this category. Absolutely no profanity or vulgar language during talent performances. Contestants will collect tips which will be placed in the “Tip Bucket” and all tips go to the given charities and will be counted and added to the contestant’s final scores.
Finally, contestants have On Stage Interview. Questions will be light hearted and funny.
Should there be a tie an additional question will be asked of the final two contestants.
